This policy covers the petupet Android online app, operated by 湖南智语天下科技有限公司 (Zhiyu Tianxia Technology), a company registered in mainland China. It explains how we handle information for accounts, AI pet creation, the public pet square, purchases and related features.

1 Information we use

Account information. We use your email address, account identifier, profile details and sign-in information to authenticate you, manage your account and link your pets and purchases. An existing account may also contain a previously linked phone number.

Creative content. We process the photos you choose to upload, prompts, selected styles and personalities, generation records, and resulting pet images and animations to create and manage your pets and handle retries or support requests.

Purchase information. We use product and order details, purchase verification information, payment and refund status, and in-app coin records to fulfil purchases, maintain your balance and resolve payment issues. Google Play processes payments; we do not receive your full payment-card number through the app.

Reports and support. We use your message, related content and account or contact details to investigate reports, answer requests and prevent abuse. Report notifications may be sent to our staff through an email provider. We do not display reporters' contact details publicly.

Service records. Our servers receive IP addresses and request information when you connect. Necessary service and error records help us operate the app, investigate faults and protect against misuse.

2 Photos and AI services

Photos are uploaded when you choose to use them for pet creation. We send reference images, prompts and necessary generation settings to AI service providers to produce pet images and animations, and store the resources needed to provide the service. Upload only content you have permission to use, including appropriate permission from people shown in your photos. Please do not include identity documents, payment-card details, passwords, medical records or other sensitive information unrelated to pet creation in your uploads or prompts.

Your data, including content you submit and generated results, is not used to train, retrain or improve foundation models.

AI providers may also perform automated safety checks on submitted content and generated results to comply with legal requirements.

3 Public content and local data

Publishing to the pet square makes your published pet, its title or description, nickname and profile image available to other people, including visitors who are not signed in. Other users may claim published pets. Unpublishing does not automatically remove copies already lawfully obtained by others; contact us about unlawful, infringing or privacy-related content.

To-do items and reminders are stored on your device and are not synced to your account. Pet caches and app preferences are also stored locally. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage may erase local data but does not delete your server-side account or resources. Sharing through another app is initiated by you and is subject to that app's practices.

The floating pet uses permission to display over other apps. Notifications support the pet service and reminders. These features do not read other apps' chats or keyboard input. You can manage optional permissions in Android settings.

4 Service providers and international processing

Hosting and storage providers process the account information, uploaded content and service records needed to run petupet. AI providers receive the images, prompts and settings described in Section 2. Email providers process email addresses and message content for verification codes and report or support notifications. Google Play processes purchases, and we use the purchase verification and order information needed to credit coins and handle refunds. We may also disclose necessary information when legally required or to address fraud, abuse or threats to rights and safety.

Our application server uses Tencent Cloud in Tokyo, Japan. Our database and image storage are also located in Tokyo. Information sent to other providers or accessed for support may be processed in other countries. Applicable safeguards are required for international transfers; contact us for information about transfers affecting your data.

5 Retention and deletion

Account information and saved pet resources are retained to provide your account and the pet features you use, subject to deletion requests. Reference photos are retained for the related generation task, retries and any further generation that requires them. Service logs are retained for operating the service and investigating faults or security incidents. Reports and support records are retained to resolve the request and related appeals or disputes. We delete or irreversibly anonymise personal information when these purposes end, unless a retention exception below applies.

You can request account closure in Settings. To request deletion of your account and associated data, or specific content, email [email protected]. You do not need to reinstall the app to make this request. We may ask for information necessary to verify that the account is yours. We will handle requests without undue delay, within applicable legal deadlines, and explain the expected completion time and any necessary retention.

Account deletion covers your account and profile information, uploaded photos and prompts, generation records, saved pet resources, and other personal information associated with the account. We will also request deletion from service providers processing that information on our behalf. Closing account access alone is not completion of data deletion.

We may retain limited transaction, security or dispute records where necessary for legal obligations, fraud prevention or unresolved claims. We will explain the applicable reason and retention period or criteria, restrict use to that purpose, and delete or irreversibly anonymise the information when that need ends. Residual copies may remain in protected backups until they are removed through our backup retention cycle. During this period, they are restricted from ordinary use. If a backup is restored, applicable deletion requests will be reapplied before the restored data is used. Lawful copies of published pets already held by other users may remain as explained in Section 3; this does not override applicable deletion rights.

6 Your choices and rights

You choose whether to upload photos, publish pets, share content or grant optional permissions. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data; withdraw consent; or object to or restrict certain processing. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact us to exercise your rights. You may also complain to the relevant privacy authority.

7 Age and security

petupet is intended for users aged 13 or over. Where local law requires parental or guardian consent to process your personal information, that consent is required. Contact us if you believe someone below the required age has provided personal information, so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We use encrypted connections and access controls to protect information. No system is completely secure. We will respond to data incidents and provide notices as required by applicable law.
